Councillor Hilary Frank who holds the portfolio for Children, Families and Schools visited FHHS on Thursday, 18 September 2025. It was a great pleasure to receive Hilary at the school.
Thereza de Lucca, our Headteacher, took Hilary for a tour of the school. We were proud to show Hilary our classrooms and many special opportunities we offer our pupils through a varied and enriched curriculum which encourages pupils to explore their talents and interests.
Hilary had the opportunity to observe one of our pupils confidently using a high-tech AAC device to communicate and comment on a story. Another pupil told Hilary about plans for our Christmas event and extended an invitation for Hilary to attend. We are looking forward to it!
Hilary also met with staff, many who are part of our local community. Hilary said: “It was inspiring to see how the staff create such a nurturing and ambitious environment where children and young people are encouraged to thrive and explore their talents. I look forward to returning, and I’m particularly excited about the invitation to join the Christmas event.”
We look forward to strengthening our links to the local community and hope that this first visit is one of many.
We want to thank Hilary for making the time to visit us.
